Another one
May 26th, 2026Welcome to The Virtual Challenge Meets™
My name is Chuck Thompson. I am the Owner and Director of The Virtual Meet Experience.
Years ago, I developed a system for running entire invitational academic practice meets virtually—no travel costs, no meal costs, and no getting up in the wee hours of Saturday morning to drive a yellow school bus across our great state. I called it: The Virtual Challenge Meets.
The Virtual Challenge Meet concept allows for maximum flexibility, minimal costs, and MUCH greater competition in that your students will be competing with schools their size from all across the state.
Even more exciting is the fact that during the UIL state tournaments, in the ten events we offer, 48 out of the 60 Individual State Champions, and 48 out of the 60 Team Event State Champions ALSO competed in the Virtual Challenge Meets—including 284 of the Top 3 Medalists (Team & Individual).
I hope offering the Virtual Challenge Meets for such a low cost will result in more schools being able to participate, which is better for your kids as they prepare for District, Regional, and State competition. So, thank you in advance for helping us spread the word and I hope you will join us in this endeavor.

Testing Rules & Security Process
Tests are released to directors in secure, PDF formats prior to the opening of each testing window. High school and middle school sponsors administer exams within their own controlled, meet-like classrooms at any point throughout the scheduled four-week block.
After grading internally, advisors report student scores to the VCM results engine before the midnight window deadline. Fully tabulated results sheets and downloadable certificate files are prepared and distributed back to participating schools within minutes.
Academic Authors & Technical Proofers
Both the Middle School and High School Virtual Challenge Meet practice tests are written and proofed by former UIL State Directors, current UIL State Directors (operating in non-overlapping fields), State Champion Academic Coaches, and university professors.
Year after year, they fulfill the charge of providing high-quality, reliable academic practice exams that mirror official UIL tests in difficulty, pattern, and conceptual focus—ensuring that your competitors train on the highest standard of prep materials available anywhere in Texas.
The Commish Loyalty Pledge
"Unlike major corporate publishers, I believe in giving our absolute best rate to our returning, loyal schools—rather than flash sales that ignore the local sponsors who have built this testing framework with us." — Chuck Thompson
